Mykyta and I are originally from a small city called Sievierodonetsk in the Luhansk region of Ukraine. At some point, we decided to leave our hometown and move to Kyiv in search of new opportunities, growth, and our own path.






Mykyta quickly found himself in the world of guitars. After moving to Kyiv, he started working in guitar repair and gradually developed his skills and craft.







I never planned to become a luthier. My path was completely different — I was studying and working in contemporary dance, and I thought that was where my future would be.
But life sometimes has its own plans.



In 2020, we decided to open Tadyka Guitar Repair. Mykyta became the main guitar technician, and I became the same “help manager” who helped with whatever was needed.






That was when I first started working with guitars. My first real task was removing a fretboard from a cheap instrument that Mykyta gave me just to try.
At that moment, I had no idea where this would lead me.





In 2022, the full-scale war began. There was a lot of chaos, uncertainty, and questions about what would happen next. To keep myself moving forward, I started learning everything Mykyta was willing to teach me.






At first, it was simpler work. Then came fret polishing, my first refrets, making nuts, working with stainless steel frets, repairing cracks, and countless other small steps.





Step by step, I realized that this was no longer just helping Mykyta. It had become my own craft.







And here we are in 2026. I still don’t always know what comes next, but I do know that I have the best partner by my side — and someone who has shared an incredible amount of knowledge with me.






Today, I continue restoring guitars, bringing old instruments back to life, and working alongside Mykyta on creating new ones.
